Annie Lennox - Songs of Mass Destruction
Escuchar cualquier disco de Annie Lennox (esta es la cuarta producción) es una exquisitez.
El disco empieza con el corte de difusión actual: Dark Road. Una canción instrospectiva. Con una melodía lidereada por el piano, Lennox, intenta ‘invitar al otro’ a una reflexión de las cosas que han pasado y que de un momento a otro se fugarán:
Love is Blind El ritmo de blues está muy marcado en esta producción. Desde los coros en la canción. Con un órgano, de fondo en los momentos de silencio, una guitarra (dentro de back), y un ritmo que sube conforme avanza la canción.

Smithereens no deja la esencia Lennox. La canción con violines integrados a la melodía en forma de coro. Los cambios de tonos antes de cada estribillo coral. Ghosts In My Machine sigue firmemente una línea de rock-blues. Con teclados que auxilian una atmósfera fantasmagórica y un acordeón que soporta al piano de la cantante. Sing es “la canción” (y podría apostar, el siguiente track de difusión debido a la participación de las siguientes estrellas: Anastacia, Isobel Campbell, Dido, Céline Dion, Melissa Etheridge, Fergie, Beth Gibbons, Faith Hill, Angelique Kidjo, Beverley Knight, Gladys Knight, k.d. lang, Madonna, Sarah McLachlan, Beth Orton, Pink, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, Shingai Shoniwa, Joss Stone, Sugababes, KT Tunstall, and Martha Wainwright):
